ARTE STUDIO GINESTRELLE_INTERNATIONAL A.I.R. 2015 – 2016

ART RETREAT AT MOUNT SUBASIO, ASSISI, Spring-Summer-Fall-winter artestudioginestrelle design in-out

Opportunities to work in a natural environment and to participate in the International exhibition 2014, Assisi UNESCO Heritage Site.

The International residency Arte Studio Ginestrelle lies in the hills of the Regional Park of Mount Subasio, near the historic town of Assisi (UNESCO World Heritage site), famous for its fresco by Giotto and Cimabue.

The fantastic landscape offers inspiration to all and subject matter to others.

Special cultural programs are available during each month (visits to the top of the sacred Mount Subasio, the Hermitage, Domus Romane, Roman Forum, Studies about Giotto’s paintings and other Masters at the Basilica of St. Francis).

the International Contemporary Exhibition of all the works created during the residencies will be shown at the prestigious Art Gallery in Assisi.

Disciplines:Literary Arts, Visual Arts, Design, Architecture, Curating/Research, Film, Music, Performing Arts, Historical and Environmental Research.

Availability for accommodation in single room (for individual artist) and in double room (for couple of artists/colleagues).

the residency fee includes Bed&Breakfast accommodation in single/double room, electricity, water, heating and cleaning.

Arte Studio Ginestrelle offers the use of a number of common spaces and facilities:

  • studio

  • work and exhibition spaces

  • refurbished barns adapted as workspaces

  • kitchen

  • living room

  • internet wireless connection

  • some organic foods such as olive-oil, vegetables and fruit are also included according to season

  • natural materials such as stone and wood may also be made available
